In this case, I'm not sure that my acquantance here is really thinking things through the right way.
She says she has heard this from teachers (his teachers that love him so much?) she has heard this from friends (your friends think you personally are a drain on society? some friends...) she believes this means people believe her son should not exist.
I don't understand this mind set and I don't understand how she comes to this conclustion. The Federal Government (the whole nation) will no longer be paying for the accommodations that your kid needs. It is ok for you to pay for that. It is ok for your community to pay for that. It is ok for someone to prioritize feeding their kid before accommodating yours. After all, isn't that what you are doing? Prioritizing your child accommodations over other children?Christians believe that we should care for our own families first, then the church and other people who love us can help fill in the gaps after that. What is wrong with this solution? If you are a parent you know the inherent risk of disease or difference that could occur in your child. You plan for it, you get people around you that can help you with it. You educate yourself about it. You live as though you are worth dieing for and worth the accommodations that your child would need, all of it without government help or approval. After all, we don't need it, it's not where our value comes from.
Christians don't place value on people based on payment. Our value inherently comes from Jesus Christ. Because God loves us, He provided safety nets for us in the form of family, friends and church. There are charities designed to help people with learning disabilities and so much more! I have talked about the bond that comes when you are provided everything from a government and I believe this shows that bond perfectly. She is now bonded to the government so much that her value comes from whether or not she gets this help from it.In the end she did not "do everything right" because she relies on that ever shifting platform of Government. How do we over come such bonds and find freedom in community and family and friendship? Through Jesus Christ. He places us where we need to be for our needs to be met and more! The affection and bond created by a local support is far stronger than the one she has now for the government. Because it will always stay with her and not be dependent on who is in office at the moment. I would beg you, my lovely reader, to consider Jesus Christ and all he has to offer before defaulting to Government affection.
